FAQ's

Frequently asked questions - PPF

How long before I can ride the bike after film is applied?

I recommend my clients to wait at least 2 days for the film to fully dry up, always pressing down on the edges before riding to ensure the film sealed up.

If a piece becomes damaged can it be replaced?

Yes! I can create a replacement piece or order it online with supplier. Whichever is available.

How long will protective film last?

PPF has a lifespan of 5-7 years in full constant sun and 7-10 in partial shade/sun balance.

Should I get matte or gloss?

It all depends on you. I've had clients going for opposite finishes. So if the bike is gloss, they apply matte PPF, and vice versa.

Will frame protection void my warranty?

I would recommend checking with bike manufacturer. But even if the brand manufacturer states it will, you can easily remove the film with a bit of heat. The film's job is to protect the frame.

If my frame cracked would it be visible under the protective film?

Yes. The film is completely invisible.

Is the film removable?

Yes.

Can I apply the film over scratches and paint chips?

Yes. The film actually acts as a layer that smoothes out the surface and makes it look like new.
